Alabama is home or was home until she died to the only person to be hit by an asteroid.

The first 911 call was made in Alabama.

If those 2 events were related that would be really cool!

The asteroid didn’t kill her. She lived quite a few years after.

Tennessee has more caves than any other state (over 10,000).
The tallest underground waterfall in the United States is Ruby Falls, 145 feet.
Home to The Lost Sea, the country’s largest underground lake.

Only one Murder, She Wrote episode was set in Alabama. S2.E15, Powder Keg. Set in fictional Roper County, it’s a bit of a In the Heat of the Night knockoff. The blonde guy from CHIPs plays an awesome character. And there is some horrific country and western music played in front of the Stars and Bars.

I don’t remember. I came across her story not long ago. Apparently, as I remember it, she was in her house and the asteroid, it was quite small, crashed into her house, ricocheted, and hit her in her side. Seems like it was the early 60s. She was in the hospital for a while and recovered. She died in the 1970s I think.

LOL, sorry, The South Carolina Gold Club was founded in 1786. Foxburg only missed it by a century and change.

Alabama (my third home state) leads the nation in waffle houses per capita.

Oklahoma (my second home state) is where the trail of tears ended.

Louisiana (my home state and where I attended university) is home to the best culinary offerings in the union.
