As awesome as prime time was, those periods in between were almost as cool, mid-day, beer buzz, band playing, eating on something and jabbering about God knows what.

I have too many memories and stories from the fraternity days 30 years ago. All you young guys would never believe half of them. Living in a frat house was the way to go back then!!!

Missed the streaking days of the early 70's!! Heard that was crazy. My older sister told me how 2 dudes streaked thru downstairs Lockett. 3 more guys left her class and joined in!!! Always streaking down Soroity Row and Miller parking lot!!

From 98-08, that was essentially the death rattle of Greek life on campus, with social media & cell phones growing entirely too fast.

In 4 years there were 5 drinking related deaths (many will argue drugs were a huge factor, which they were, but LSU/parents/media controlled the narrative).

People got sue happy & LSU went into major Greek life lawsuit prevention mode.
Houses got locked on probation for things that the Greek Life office previously laughed about with actives in their houses AT parties with them.

In the early 2000s you could still have solid post game chapter house parties, strippers, hazing, & even kegs.

Sororties started getting really strict on pledges upstairs in house with fraternity actives & any members shacking/sleeping over. This era is when "regret rape" started on campus, because information was moving faster than ever before. People couldn't hide from drunk hookups or frick fests anymore.

Party Pics was the original social media platform. Finding boxes of Party Pics from the 80s/90s really inspired a lot of last ditch major Greek party efforts in the late 90s thru the 00s.

1 dollar shots at Fred's when the train passed....
The Barber Chair at Baby Doe's where they poured shots in ur mouth then threw the chair forward...alcohol would fly out of ur nose.

There will never be another party in BR like South Sea Islands or Halloween on Culotta Street...
I had a hollowed out stadium seat that had a velcro closure....homemade...could get an entire 5th of Bourbon into the game....or sometimes would seal-a-meal individual drink pouches and smuggle them in in ur pants....The Library bar...always told my parents the truth, I was going to the Library....
LSU was an incredible place mid 80's....

In 1982, final four was in Nola. Saturday went to semi finals with family. On the way back to Lafayette, I had my folks drop me off on the corner of Highland and Dalrymple. I walked into the chaos that was South Seas to find my friends, and my ride home. Went back a few weeks later for spring testing. That's how they hooked you on coming to LSU.

We threw keg parties on the LSU lakes and seldom saw a cop. I can't even imagine that now. This was when we were in high school.
