It would be an indictment of you as a parent of a teen girl if she didn’t hate you at some point because it would mean you aren’t making any hard calls when needed.

Let me guess, she didn’t get her way on something.
Thankfully, we don’t allow the “I hate you” bs, they are welcome to say “this stinks” or some variation, but they have been taught it’s not personal and making it personal doesn’t help it only harms the situation.
Like I told my 14 year old the other day - keep it up and you’ll be admiring the technology the Amish get to use.

they all mostly do that right around 14 -15 yrs old . just cutt off any $$$ you give her and she will apologize very quickly after

My man, coming from someone who was a teenager a little over a decade ago, she’s sneaking out to meet up with friends and they’re going to meet boys.
It doesn’t mean she’s doing the deed with them, but usually meeting with friends and the opposite sex is the goal.
Coming from someone who snuck out of my parents’ house every weekend.

Welcome to the real world of parenting. You think it's bad when you're the parent, just think about how it is when you're the step-parent and they claim you ruined their life by marrying their mother because somewhere in the back of their distorted minds they really thought their mom and dad would work it out and get back together.

You can't explain things. All you can do is give her a consequence that she will remember and think about next time she gets the urge.

We were waiting on a couple who we're friends with to meet us somewhere with our kids. They were 30 minutes late because the daughter issued them the first official "FU#* YOU!" as they were walking out the door.
