I'm almost fricking 50, and I still don't walk on grass unless there is no other choice.

tear our arse up for walking on rocks.
Well, Indian, you had just painted those rocks the color of the month last week anyway, right?

They both suck, but the mailman needs to be a professional. Of the two, he's the one who's on the clock.
Meh. I think she’s the much worse offender socially, but he still did something dumb and unfortunately has more to lose from it.

My house is kept clean, however it shouldn’t matter what your home looks like, don’t rut up someone’s front yard.
BTW, after making one phone call, she never drove on my front yard grass again.

Team Homeowner or Team Mailman
Can I hate them both?
People who care way too much about their grass are annoying, but at the same time it is their property. She could've asked a lot nicer as well.
As for mailman, I would've been annoyed too. But I would've also just been like "sorry, here you go" and handed her the mail and been on my way. So he stepped up the dickery by throwing the mail on the ground too.
So basically they both suck. People have no consideration for others anymore; it's dumb.

Don't walk on my grass, but then the woman proceeds to walk on the grass to get the mail the mailman threw down.

One time I painted and NEVER again!

It is common sense to not walk on grass?
Mailman. Homeowner = trash.
Mailman. Homeowner = trash.

I’m a mail carrier so I’m speaking from that perspective.
The woman is a bitch but if she doesn’t want people walking on her lawn that request should be respected.
The mail carrier in this instance is also a bitch. He handled this the wrong way. What he should have done if he felt aggrieved by the homeowner is to withhold the mail. Simply don’t deliver it if he felt “threatened” and continue to hold the mail until she talks directly with a supervisor or a postmaster. He escalated it in an inappropriate manner by tossing the mail on the lawn.
He reacted to her being a bitch by being a bitch himself.

Fake and staged. When was the last time you saw a white mailman?
Posted on 5/22/26 at 8:37 am to Wolfhound45
Neither handled it as it should have been handled. It is sad that most people cannot "talk things out."
This woman probably had no rapport with the postman (assuming this guy was her regular carrier). I talk to our office mail carrier all the time - he's great. If there is a mail issue, we talk about it (and it is never an issue with him).
Having a conversation to resolve an issue seems to be a lost art.

over under on her actually being the homeowner and not a tenant?
weights on the driveway..... trash everywhere..... my bet is on tenant.

This is the result of shitty parents, which is the downfall of our society. Decent and respectful parents teach their children to never cut cross someone’s lawn. It should basically be ingrained before the child even goes to preschool. If you side with the mailman, you had shitty parents.

Instead of throwing down her mail, he should have said, "Yes ma'm", walked up the driveway, tripped on those barbells, and sued her.
