Teachers are getting to be as bad as biker gangs. If you guys want your good reputation back you need to root out the perverts before you get lumped in with them.

only a few months before the complaining starts

The OT gets a break from the bitching and moaning for at least a month. Finally.

The complaining is a year round job, unlike their teaching career.

2 months off work?

The difference is that during the academic year, they pretty much work non-stop.

If you have a traditional 9-5 job, yes you work year round, but when you're at home, that time is your own. Teachers have to prepare lesson plans and lectures for the next day.

I know that gets dismissed pretty hard on here, but it's reality.

Why is this always the defense?

A LOT of jobs do that without the 2 months off.

Teachers ain't special in that regard.

My mother was a teacher and you're right, but that extra time after work only makes up for the fact that you get off at 2:30 every day and have a shite ton of half days.

Nothing a teacher does makes up for that summer vacation

Let me fix this for you:

Highly esteemed Professional Educators, the way-too-aggressive lesbian gym Coach, the over-compensating Coach with the cheesy catch phrases that teaches world history and leaves vague hints that the Jews started WWII, the quiet Janitor that is either salt of the earth of a convicted sex offender, the lunch hairnet lady that smells of feet, that surly bitch at the front desk that abuses parents, the school nurse everybody suspects is a junkie, the Principal who should have retired five years ago, the Vice Principal that really runs the place who stalks your daughter's social media for bikini pics, the guidance counselor who nobody has seen in two months, et al.

Enjoy your Summer.

2 months off? They get at least 4 months off when you add up all their breaks and holidays during the year.
