I see a lot of haters in here bashing the real heroes of our society: educators.
You know what George Washington, Lincoln, Julius Caesar, Joe the Plumber, MLK, Thomas Paine, Adam Smith, Cash me outside girl, Trump, and Ted Bundy had in common????
All of them had teachers. So just think about that before you bash them and what kind of historical figures we would be left with in their absence.

bullshite. I was married to one for nine years. She'd wait till 6 PM Sunday to do anything. Spent most of her time drinking box wine, group text gossip with the other teachers, and Facebook. The others she worked with weren't much different.

The difference is that during the academic year, they pretty much work non-stop.
They don't. Source: My mom is a teacher, wife's mom is a teacher, wife's sister is a teacher, wife used to be a teacher. 7:00 - 3:00 is 8 hours. Sure they grade papers from time to time, but a lot of that is/can be done during planning hour.

I work 7:00 am - 5:30 PM most days, then sling emails from my phone to keep up after that.
