If you keep nudes on your phone, at least put a password on it.

lol, my buddy did something like this one time. Girl passed out in the bar. she was a teacher. (and she had this coming to her, so I don't feel bad) He got her phone and found some nudes and sent them to everyone in her phone, including most of the faculty.
LOL
She didn't get fired though.

Lawyer up
Probably not easy to do for an unemployed school teacher. Any decent lawyer is really expensive.

No policy, no cause, at least in today's HR world.
So you are saying that if there is no explicit rule against something, then you can't be fired for it. So if there is no explicit rule against me shitting on the floor in the break room, they couldn't fire me if I did it.........Asking for a friend

Not when they take 40% of the winnings.

Well there are probably laws against that. Indecent exposure, etc. So, in HR world if there is a law against it then you cannot do it at work even if company allows it.

She should not have resigned and lawyered up. The only reason I pay those stupid teacher union dues is for the free lawyer.

Best case scenario for the teacher is what the school district did
She's about to get some money
She's about to get some money

That is not the pic in the OP. It is a pic in an article linked in the OP, but not the one I was referring to.

No different that having a magazine in her purse or desk with porn in it. And hopefully the student will be expelled too.

I hope the kid has rich parents.

Well that's a pretty easy one to break down and find a rule against. But seriously, if I kept playboys in my work bag, and my manager found out I had it in the office, I'd probably at least get written up for it.
I don't agree that this woman should have gotten in trouble. It's is a terrible situation. But since they did it, I'd have to say that I don't see her having a lot of footing to fight back. If she kept a playboy magazine in her purse at school, she'd get in trouble for that. This isn't much different. Now, if the kid broke into the phone with a password, I'd feel a little different (I actually don't know if this happened or not). Again, I'm not for her being fired, but now that it's happened, I don't know if she can fight it.
