There is no doubt the he/she/it/shim is a drama queen and I think the whole trans movement is moronic bullshite.
But the teacher publicly announced his refusal to use the pronouns, when he could've just ignored the whole situation and not even called on or referred to the kid.
Two drama queens generally don't make a situation better. But it looks like he got the attention he wanted (they both did)

and if he had done it privately and still been fired?
Or perhaps the principal and superintendent are the real drama queens by making this policy instead of doing their jobs and telling the freak to shut the frick and go to class?

You won't find many people more against the trans bullshite than me.
However, if I were the teacher, that kid would've become a ghost to me and basically cease to exist. I would have the bare minimum of interactions and always refer to it by it's last name.
In fact, I would likely refer to all kids by their last names, which is safer in this era.
Teachers have 20 plus kids in a class, and many of them are basically ignored anyway. Ignoring a kid shouldn't raise any flags.
This is assuming I am a teacher and I want to keep my job and don't want a bunch of publicity.

Uh, you were asking situations about when a teacher would use pronouns. They’re a part of common English language.

Our building manager at work has a 7 year old dwarf kid......him and his beta wife have supported and actively encouraged their kid to identify as a female.
This kid gonna be fricked up down the road.
FWIW, Jewish Democrats

terminated French teacher Peter Vlaming over his refusal to call a female-to-male transgender student by their preferred pronoun, according to a statement.
The French don't have non-sex pronouns for the third person.

I prefer you refer to me as "Your Royal Majesty." See how fricking stupid that sounds?
Almost as stupid as referring to a biological female as "he".
Almost.

Are my grandkids gonna ask their mom why Grandpa uses gender specific pronouns and is their mom gonna reply “he’s from a different time”?

He's also the French teacher. They are learning basics, like pronouns and what makes words masculine or feminine.

That’s just crazy men aspiring to be crazier women.

If it's a public school, there are still free speech issues
I think all this PC stuff is a crock of shite. That being said, in my opinion it's a policy issue from which the superintendent was bound by and forced to terminate based on insubordination. This is not a free speech violation.
For instance, if a police cadet is instructed to address his superior by his rank and title but refuses to do so, he would be insubordinate and subject to disciplinary action.

I'm a teacher that had a M-F trans in class for a bit. Personally I think that shite is gross and weird. Professionally I used the name Katelynn. Teachers shouldn't have moral, religious or political leanings in class.

Not quite the same as using "he" instead of "she"

A few years ago, we were told all ‘they’ wanted was bathrooms.
Then we were told all that girl in Texas wanted was to become a dude and wrestle with them.
It’s funny...three major equality movements: racial, feminist, and trans.
I think blacks and whites, for the most part, can be realistic and not petty. Even the femenistt movement seems to have some limits. But these other people...they are sick in the fricking head and are causing non-stop headaches for people who want to live in a civilized, somewhat normal, society.

Yeah but there is a limit. For instance, a cadet can't be instructed to pray to Allah or face insubordination. That would violate his first amendment rights, no different than this situation violates the teacher's.
