I saw orca the killer whale in the same theater that peewee Herman was caught master bating in. Before it was a porn theater obviously.

E.T. is the first that I can remember and answering this will definitely separate the old school from young bucks here ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/IconLOL.gif)

Back in the day before cable, VCRs, and DVRs, movies frequently were re-released to the theater. I saw the 1953 Peter Pan in the early '70s. I do not remember going to the movies, but I remember wanting to be able to fly. Then within a year Star Wars was released and my life was changed forever.

Shocking that would be your first film, and I see its left an impression on you. So did my first film experience, so don't feel bad. ![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Iconcheers.gif)

Hmm, that surprises me that that film was being rereleased at that time. Thought it wouldn't be playing in theaters past the early 60s. Sorry for calling you old, but I definitely learned something new about cinema from your post.

Saw it in Eunice in 1972. My youngest brother cried when Uncle Remus was walking away.

Honey, I shrunk the kids
And for some weird reason I think it was in the Centroplex.
Was that ever a thing?
