As far as I can remember, either Smokey and the Bandit or Star Wars. Both came out in 1977 I think. The funny thing as big as Star Wars became, it wasn't anything big when it first came out.

Had no choice. Parents took us all to a Disney movie. I was just glad to leave Mamou and go to the big city of Eunice for a night out. Since we behaved, we got to see Fiddler on the Roof the next time.

Earliest I can recall was Fort Apache. Probably an afternoon event in mid 50's. Parents used to drop us off (me and two older brothers) on Sunday afternoons.

Lure Of The Wilderness, in Fargo Georgia, situated in the south east corner of the Okefenokee Swamp. The theater was a tent right on the banks of the Suwanee River. The cost was one Mereta Bread wrapper.

It was a big deal to us kids because the story took place in Fargo.

The first movie I ever saw was at a drive in and it was Raiders of the Lost Ark. I think Return of the Jedi was the first movie I saw at a real theater.

Why it's simple. Beulahland is a very beautiful place on the other side of the river Jordan.
When I cross to the "other side", it's where I hope to go.

Thank you for asking.

Smokey and the Bandit or Star Wars.

I remember the summer of '77 when I was 5 and we re-enacted Smokey and the Bandit on our big wheels all day long. I carried my R2D2 action figure with me wherever I went.
