Nose ring.. eh I could deal with and they can take it out

The arm sleeve of tats is just a hard pass for me .

I realize that it's tough to hire people these days, but I don't understand why they can't say, "you can have those when you're away from work, but you're not wearing them while you're serving food to people".

It used to be common. Employment applications would state that you could have piercing and tats, but they most be able to be covered or removed at work.

Because that’s discrimination

I agree with you, but is it worth a company being sued?

Reminds of my days back on the farm when we would brand the cows and also put nose rings in the older calves to keep them from stealing milk from smaller calves.

Honestly, while I think women are better off without them, lots of visible tattoos and piercings convey a certain attitude that I often find attractive.

They can make it a condition for being hired. If a qualification for being a librarian is that you have to have a college degree would that not be discrimination?

Is there a difference?

Depends on the tattoos.

I'm not a fan of nose piercings on women, especially the septum piercing that makes them look like a bull.

as a general rule tats and nose rings are a big no from me, though I'll admit there are the occasional exceptions

This. And it reminds me of putting nose rings in the hogs to keep them from rooting out from under the fence. We also nose ringed our bull to make it easier to control him under certain circumstances. I see these rings in a woman's nose and I automatically think of hogs, calves, and bulls. Yeah, it's trashy and very unattractive on any woman to me.

Tats = trash. Hate the gauger piercings they deform the person's body. Both are symptoms of mental issues.

But, modest piercings are pretty hot. Doesn't make sense, I know.

I mean IWDH the girl in the OP if that’s what you’re asking.

Good looking girls are still good looking with accessories I don’t like.

Piercings and tattoos aren't a protected class. I'm not a lawyer, but discriminate all you want. It's no different than a dress code. I can't go to work wearing shorts and flip flops.
