§1300.1. Recall authorized

Any public officer, excepting judges of the courts of record, may be recalled in accordance with the provisions of this Chapter. However, no recall petition may be submitted for certification to or accepted for certification by the registrar of voters or any other official if less than six months remain in the term of office.

Acts 1992, No. 949, §1, eff. Jan. 1, 1993.

Any public officer, except judges, may be recalled, according to the Secretary of State

Of course not.

Uh, no. Being on duty in a given week doesn't mean you get assigned to every lawsuit filed during that week. Try to imagine how that would work....

If it happens it would be enough to have her removed from her position. Won't happen

Not according to La Constitution lol.

She's there for her entire term. No matter what.

Not luck of the draw. A judge has duty each week, and anything filed that week goes to the judge on duty.

Totally false. That isn't what a duty judge does or means.

It is entirely random *cough cough*

This will be transferred out of that division. 100%.

I don't think that's exactly right, but it's REALLY hard to get rid of a judge and the people definitely can't do it directly. I think the House can vote to impeach a judge and I think the Supreme Court can remove a judge if the judicial commission recommends it. There are people who know better than me that can correct me if I'm off base, but to the best I know, barring those two avenues, a judge in Louisiana does whatever the frick the judge wants without repercussion.

Hah. Janice won't recuse herself unless it's pried out of her cold dead hands. I see the First Circuit or Supremes getting involved. #clownshow.

Is it wrong that I'm secretly hoping she doesnt recuse herself just to see the outcome and division amongst certain people.
