I see the family filing for dismissal under SLAPP as well as reassignment of the case to another judge should the dismissal fail, then moving to appeal to a higher court if she rules against them.
Should Clark refuse to dismiss or recuse, it opens her up to being overruled at the least, if not outright slapped down.

Some background on recusal in general---
La. CCP Art. 151(A)(3) requires recusal when the the judge's child is a party to the action.
La. CCP Art. 152(A) allows a judge to recuse himself on his own motion.
La. CCP Art. 153 allows a judge to continue presiding until recused.
Under La. CCP Art. 154, if the judge doesn't recuse himself on his own motion, a party can file a motion for recusal. The judge can either grant the motion and recuse himself, or deny the motion and have the recusal motion randomly allotted to another division/judge to hear and rule on the motion.

Jesus....she will absolutely recuse herself. It's only been 2 weeks. Her docket is loaded. Nothing happens in 2 weeks in a courtroom. Give her a bit.
