I call it the 'passive defense' and it's typically employed by Democrats who can't believe how far the progressives pushed their party but haven't reached the point where they can come out against it.

I don't have a reason to go into a target or walmark.
I don't shop, I buy what is needed.
Since I work in construction and I get dirty each day I don't wear nice clothes, in fact I buy my work clothes in second hand shops.

Shop at Wal Mart. Same quality just cheaper prices. Target is for uppity middle class who turn their nose up at Wal Mart.
