Carwise is fighting for his daughter after an adoption agency took her two days after she was born without his knowledge or consent. His case reveals the battle unwed fathers can face over parental rights, who determines what's best for a child, and the Florida laws that allow this to happen.

It's pretty ridiculous that in this day and time, the fathers still don't have equal rights.

A mother can give up a baby for adoption no matter what the father wants but can also keep it and make him pay for it for 18years orrrr can just kill it if she feels the need.
But muh equality

The white conservative male is oppressed in the country by the system
Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise

This is pathetic and a failure by our legal system, now the little girl is confused. Should have given the man back his baby

Can one transition to a mother temporarily, get custody, then transfer back?
Men need to fight women in the courts like this.
Clearly trans have the upper hand on women.

There was a similar case in tuscaloosa, which coincidentally involved a Florida father,
Ultimately the adoptive parents got to keep him, but it was a legal fight.
There were accusations that the biological father was abusive, but who knows.

This is one of those shitty situations where the lawyers get rich and the kid suffers.

Curious if he actually signed the birth certificate. I have a hard time believing this would happen if he had stepped up and signed when the kid was born.

Bethany Christian Services is the group fighting to keep the kid from him. Why do I feel that a religious group with experience with taking refugee kids is an expert in stealing kids?

Shhh. He obviously didn’t click on the article to read it was a black male.

Neither did the upvoters. Also, it took less than ten posts to make it a trans thread.

"Ladies, to be fair to us, I also believe that if you decide to have the baby, a man should not have to pay. That is fair," he said, which received significant laughter from the men in the crowd.
"If you can kill this motherf***er, I can at least abandon 'em," Chappelle stated.
"It's my money, my choice," he added, ripping off the "my body, my choice" mantra of the pro-abortion movement, which earned him some groans and oohs from the audience.
Then he offered a line that just might have caused an everyday abortion supporter to pause:
"And if I'm wrong, then perhaps we're wrong. So, figure that s**t out for yourselves."

they don't have rights at all, except the right to pay for everything, and Florida is the just about the most biased against the man family court systems there is

You can’t get a passport for a child without both parents being present and signing off (reasonable requirement), but one parent can put the baby up for adoption without the father’s knowledge or consent. Clown world

Friend of mine (American) lives in Czech Republic and he continually gets stopped at customs when he travels with his young boys. They pull the kids aside and say "soooo does your mother know you're traveling?"
