I wonder how long it will take for it to start to sink?

Had a few projects in this building. It’s pretty fricking sweet.

The two penthouses they have are legit nice. Not sure about 3mil, but they are fricking tight.

Sounds, utopianish.

That was the goal. While this has been around for a while, the Obama HUD made it a huge priority. Unfortunately, it hasn't realized much success. Public housing residents who are relocated to upper income areas most often continue the poor decision making that landed them in public housing to begin with. The end result is a collapse in pricing for the market value units.

You people really need to learn about friction piles. You see, even in little ol New Orleans, they perform what they call a soil bearing capacity test, where soil core samples are tested under stress in a laboratory.

The piling gets its bearing capacity from the friction between the outer surface of the pile and the soil. It is just as effective at supporting a load as hitting bedrock when done properly.

This building will not sink, nor would one 4 times the height of this one. I cannot speak to the safety of the residents due to crime. Although you should never live your life in fear.

Is it the Plaza Tower?
The Plaza Tower is an absolute gem of a building.

It was the first real skyscraper in New Orleans. And, in the city's fashion of the time, it set another world record -- the tallest marble-faced building in human history. As an office tower in the 70s, it hummed and glowed.

It is a kind of obelisk on the New Orleans skyline, slightly offset, overlooking downtown with a checkered view, and its shoulders held high. It needs to be lit from within again. It's a candlestick waiting to shine warmth again.

As a photographer of that skyline, you have to include that building. It's an architectural masterpiece.

The marble cladding on that building is worth more than what the building last sold for at auction. The interior configuration is totally functionally obsolete for an office building. It was also built in the wrong spot for its time, totally failing to anticipate the Poydras Street building boom that was soon starting.

But it is architecturally significant and a totally unique structure, like the WTC and the old Rivergate. I am being objective, though, because personally I think all those buildings are/were hideous.

If I'm 29 stories above ground, I can't see the tits I'm supposed to shower with beads.

How will the developer expect to sell any units that way?
