So are you saying LSU took money twice. A. That's felony theft on your step-fathers part. B. That sounds like fraud on LSU's part. Call LSU Police, file a complaint, get a lawyer.

Baw, he’s been asked multiple times and doesn’t bother to answer.

So if your father still has his online account in tact, just have him transfer the tickets out online to you. Then your stepdads paper tickets will be invalidated.

Basically what this sounds like is a ticket office student worker gave your dads paper tickets away because of the same name.

Curious if OP saw this.

If you have any sisters, sounds like ol’ stepdad might be trying to trick them out of their drawers.

It makes a plausible movie premise anyway.

Hey, I've seen that movie!

Looking into that as well

What exactly is there to “look into”

It’s cut and dried, Ticket office (which isn’t TAF btw) isn’t killing the old tickets electronically and reissuing new ones, you have no other recourse.

What, you gonna appeal to the better nature of someone who already knowingly fricked you over? Like it was an accident?

Every day that goes by lessens chance of you being made whole because he already sold the tickets for meth and smoked it.

Its common for a woman to remarry someone who has the same name as her last husband?

That wasn’t the basis of identification.

According to OP, if there is a long time account holder John Hebert, every single John Hebert in the state can just walk up and claim his tickets.

The mother connection only plays a role in scumbag even being aware of the account/tickets in the first place.

my dad and my stepdad have the same first name.

So basically it went like this...your dad's name is Joe Smith ..but your stepdad is Joe Blow....He goes to TAF..and says I need to renew my tickets...TAF asks for ID...he gives them his Joe Blow ID and says ..but I want Joe Smith's tickets and TAF says cool ..y'all have the same first name , I'll allow it...??

Another thing I just thought about. Could this have been on accident with the names being the same?

Stepdad calls or goes to ticket office to pay for his seats. Gives the kid his name and they pull up the wrong account and apply the payment there.

Meaning your stepdads actual tickets went unpaid.

This seems more likely since your dad’s account information is still intact. If stepdad was truly trying to take over he would have changed email and addresses to lock dad out.
this doesn't make sense. He said they have the same first name. Not the same everything.

Unless the mom never changed her name back and the new husband took her last name. But obviously that sounds pretty absurd

Now the OP is saying it wasn’t done in person. So stepdad & mom had dad’s login information.

The only other plausible scenario here is the account was listed at John & Jane Doe and stepdad called in and said “hey this is John, Jane’s husband”

But something isn’t really adding up here

Was your mom also on the account? Was it clear they were your father’s tickets in the divorce?

You need to make sure your stepdad won’t be able to buy playoff tickets.
