The Colorado 4 Cylinder has a lot more output than the Tacoma. That's what I would go for.

You should check the warranty though. I think the Chevy powertrain warranty is 5 years. Not 3.

Tacoma. I was struggling with this decision a couple weeks ago. I ended up getting a 2017 Tacoma after heavily considering a Canyon.

Basically the reliability, quality, and reputation of the Tacoma won out. I'm very happy with my decision.

2016 NEW Colorado Z71 new with 1 mile, extended cab, Z71 trimline (bells, whistles, and leather trim), 4x4 with a 4-cylinder. Warranty isn't nearly as good as the Toyota. $27,000.00

Buy that truck, drive it to the Toyota dealership, and get them to drop their price 5 grand then sell them the Colorado for 32000. You just made 10 grand.

Same reason I went with my Tacoma. I liked the Colorado, but I see a shite ton of Tacomas still going strong after being put through hell, and that's the kind of truck I wanted.

Why are you entertaining a full size truck with a midsized motor?

I don't need a full-size truck currently.

I like both of these trucks a lot. I'm still torn. The Toyota's reliability and extended warranty and the Z71's price and options are making my decision tough.

FWIW, full coverage insurance is cheaper on the Chevy than the 'Yota.

Honda took that mustranger picture seriously and decided that's the way the market was going.

I guess I've been out of the market for too long, but paying $26k for a 4-cylinder truck sounds completely stupid.

What's a shame is if they actually figured out a way to make the exterior attractive to the midsize truck market, it would be the best on the road.

Damn thing looks like an "El Camino" edition civic

Am I too spooked by the Chevy's inferior warranty?

No to both of them. What is the point in having a truck if you have a 4 cylinder especially if one is a 4x4. What if you need to pull a trailer or a boat? I wouldn't even look at small truck if it didn't have a v-6 in it.

I looked at a Denali, but what a waste for the price. Basically the only thing it adds over the other Canyons is better leather and the grill. Not at all worth the premium imo
