Engine in the Colorado?
ETA:
Personally, I would wait until December and pay the same price for a full size.

It's a new 2016 Colorado actually. My bad.

If your only concern is resale value, and you don't mind riding on a cloth covered 2x4 go Tacoma.
More than happy with my canyon SLT, although just got hammered with hail damage. I stopped counting at 24 dents.

I don't think that I could do a 4-cylinder truck.

I have the v6 Canyon. It has plenty of power, but I definitely would not want to have a smaller engine in it

I have the all terrain. The auto 4 wheel drive is pretty nice

Those seem like great trucks.

What kinda highway miles you get?

Tacoma, always. They are like bruised dicks...hard to beat.

First, I would get a V6. With that out of the way I would make sure to ask myself how long I'm keeping the truck.
If your keeping it a long while, I would skip the Government Motors truck. I've owned a few GMC and without fail they have not aged well.
I have a buddy that has a 20 year old Tacoma that is his daily driver. No telling how many miles are on it but it runs like a top.

2017 Certified Tacoma with low miles, access (extended cab), base trimline, and a 4-cylinder engine. Nothing fancy, but a good truck which will probably run for years
I'll sell you my 2015 4 cylinder crew cab with 15k miles and TSS package for $26000

What about a 2015 certified Tacoma V6 with 32k miles? How would you compare that to these trucks? This truck is selling at $28,500.
I like the warranty and resale value on both Toyotas.

every GMC i have bought has had a 100k powertrain warranty.
GM doesn't do that anymore. Changed in 2016 I believe.
