Overtakes BurgerKing for the #4 FF restaurant nationally.

Closing the gap on #3 Subway

#2: Starbuck
#1: McDonald's

Ny Post

Taco Bell’s US revenues in 2017 grew 5 percent, to $9.8 billion, while Burger King finished the year with US sales of $9.3 billion — marking the second straight year Americans favored Mexican fast food over the home of the Whopper.

Subway, which closed 800 locations in 2016 and 1,000 in 2017, saw 2017 revenues decline 4 percent, to $10.8 million, according to Technomic.

The average Subway store pulls in $350,000 in annual sales compared with Taco Bell’s $1.5 million per store, according to John Gordon of Pacific Management Consulting Group.

“The sales are so low at Subway that it’s difficult for the franchisees to pay their rent and staff,” Gordon added.

Don't be surprised! Sly told us it was gonna happen.

They just lost their CEO to Chipotle so let's see if they can keep this momentum. They have just been tweaking things very frequently to keep their menu fresh and adding items like Dorito shells while keeping costs down. Can they keep up that innovation to continue to increase sales?

I'm with you on that... When I'm sober. Drunk me, though, will devour some Taco Bell.

Bringing Chef St. Lorena Garcia on board a few years back really enhanced what was already a pretty phenomenal flavor profile.

Nothing like fake Mexican food at 3 AM when you’re drunk and need to clean out your internals

Taco Bell staying open late is the key to its success. What drunk person doesn’t want Taco Bell?

I told this story on here before and some people accused me of lying or that the story couldn't have been accurate.

A friend of mine use to do the landscape work for several taco bells around Baton Rouge. He would be there when deliveries came in and would have to go in the building through the back, etc. He said they would have these huge cans of meat (cans.. as in canned food) and there was a label that said "grade D but edible". This was 10-15 years ago so I don't know if anything has changed.. But I don't understand the love for taco bell.

I can't tell you the last time I have eaten there, but it seems like when I do eat there, at some point in the day I end up feeling like I have a lack of energy, etc. There has to be close to 0 nutritional value in their food.

Why wouldn't they be? You go to a counter and order food/beverages and they fulfill the order at the counter (much of it prepared) and hand it to you. That's the fast food model.
