Makes sense he'd have to convey rights at that price.

So taking all that into account and pricing out the mineral royalties at absolute top dollar it would only take roughly 50 years to make up the difference of $145M

Again, I ask, does Boone Pickens think his name is worth that much for a patch of dirt covered in cow shite?

The improvements are valued at $140MM. The water rights alone are worth $21M. No telling about the mineral rights. The Oil/Gas revenue in 2015 was $2.5Million.

Looks like a couple thousand acres is nice and the rest is barren wasteland.

Do not want

The vast majority of it is probably only worth 3-500 an acre

The yearly maintenance budget is probably 10 million plus, depending on how much he does

I agree that if I am spending that type of money on a ranch (which obviously will never be a problem), that I would want it to be out West.

There are 540 billionaires in the US according to Forbes. I wonder how many of them could even really afford this? Have to think that a number of them already have a lot of money tied up in other stuff.

Must be nice to have so much money you don’t even know what to do with it.

Im actually going to be in Pampa this weekend. I wonder if they would let me check it out? Probably not.

ETA: I have made that drive from Pampa to Perryton several times. Its a beautiful drive. I didn't know i was driving right through his ranch.

That King Air 200 (turboprop) is probably what the pilots ride in on to fly the heavy iron.
I’ll take the Gulfstream in the hanagar, the Falcon 50 on the left or the Hawker.

I wouldn’t give Boone that price. The Wagonner or King Ranch maybe, but not that place

Still think I like West Creek Ranch in Colorado best, that’s the discovery channel guy’s place, but that private airport is legit.

If I owned this place I would probably never leave, assuming I could get people to bring me food.

Did he need a place with more hanger space for all the planes?

If you can afford a ranch that costs $250 million, I bet you can afford to pay for grocery deliveries.
