I am trying to switch from AT&T to a new provider. Current bill for me and wife is about $230 per month. Is there another provider that is cheaper and does not suck that you can recommend?

You want cheaper with better service? Good luck

I suggest Verizon and it would be about the same amount.

Cricket or straight talk.. cut your bill by more than half.

Verizon is a little cheaper. I don't have any experience with the poor people carriers.

For 2 people? Wow, what kind of plan do you have?

Probably help if you gave a breakdown of what you are getting, and where you are.

I've had att since 07, so still have the "unlimited data" on my phone only though. Went in the other day to the att store, and had them do a review. Base was $4 cheaper on all I have on my acct, but before taxes. So the dude said to check back in a year or so.

So long story short....make sure you go to the stores, and not online or over the phone.

My fiancé and I have saved about 180 a month on Verizon by switching to the 4GB plan from the unlimited data plan, if limiting data is an option I recommend doing that and turning off background data on all the major data consuming apps. Now we haven’t used more than about 1GB per month because our apps will only work on WiFi. Also helps cut down on screen time.

Of course if you ever found yourself in an emergency where you needed LTE, it’s as simple as switching databon in the settings menu and you can turn it right back off afterwards.

You need to share more details of that plan, because it is high.

Also...go check in on threads over on the Tech Board. Those guys nerd out more on this stuff. Some will do research for you just cause they enjoy finding deals, and breaking things down. They've tapped their own stuff out, so they got the withdrawls. Ha.

There service sucks dick if you travel at all. Just left them after 18 months. If you never travel anywhere and stay in a relatively large city, they'll be fine.

But their service was useless on every road trip I took.

I have AT&T prepaid with 6GB rollover data for $40 a month. I own the phone. I don't finance phones.

Now this sounds interesting. How’s this work?

I came home and I am currently living in Germany and I got a cricket sim card for 40 bucks with unlimited 5 GB and had great coverage for the 3 weeks I was in. It was plenty for me but I think it is unlimited for 50 a month.

I'm gonna guess that includes the financed phones

Because two people can get unlimited on AT&T for well under that

Do you live in a rural area? Then true. If not, then T-Mobile has great service and it's cheap.

Cricket, $100 month month for unlimited talk text and data. For 2 is around $65-70 I believe. Had it for nearly 3 years with no problems. And no we are not poor. Lol.
