Sounds like a great white mistook her for a seal.
Unless I’m diving I wouldn’t be getting in CA waters.

And that area is infested with Great Whites since I think they breed there. Not to mention it’s winter so I’m sure they all had their little seal costumes on, aka wet suits.
No pity for this woman. She dressed up like shark food and made herself bait.

Lol at people swimming in the ocean in the west coast, the water is always cold.
They call that area from Monterey to Bolinas The Red Triangle precisely because of the amount of great whites feeding on seals and sea lions. 11% of the world’s great white attacks occur there. Swimming there is really stupid.

Becoming a human buzz bait was always one of my greatest fears when going to the beach as a kid.

Thousands of people do it every day out in Cali. I swim with people that are from out there and used to swim with groups under the Golden Gate Bridge which is prime shark water. I don't think I would ever do that but I have done ocean swims and fjord swims but I don't think there were creatures that would eat me in those waters.

Glad they are treating the shark as innocent until proven guilty.

As with many white people hobbies, this death was 100% avoidable. Swimming across the open ocean sounds like hell to me.
Are you ready to list the risky hobbies of non-whites (populations that have a much higher mortality rate in their hobbies)?

frick going in the water in December.
That in itself is crazy to me.

Surely one of the witnesses took video of the shark with human remains in his or her mouth
