I hate the mask and bitch about it every day, and truly cannot wait until people start saying "frick it" in large quantities.
But man.. I just can't put the places I frequent on the chopping block right now. Besides restaurants once or twice a week, I go to two places with regularity.
One is my grocery store that is 90% elderly who are clearly not comfortable without masks. The other is a bar with a restaurant license who has the government breathing down their neck ready to fine them or shut them down.
I want to say frick the mask so badly, and I don't wear it anywhere I don't feel it is fine not to, but I just can't screw my people who need the income.

Fair enough. I don't know why that post was so polarizing. I wasn't implying what Oweo said (sorry Oweo) or that I like/agree with it. Just saying I haven't really seen it anywhere I go, which is true so far, so that's why I would feel like a jerk if I was the lone person making a stand.
If I started to see more people without them, I'd be happy to join in. I hate them. But as it stands, I shop amongst frail folks with 5 years left in them and/or spend time at places under Sloth's watchful eye.

We’ve technically been in 1.5 while the government calls it phase 2, so it sounds like NC was at least nice enough to not trick their people into thinking they’re in a phase they’re not in.
