My favorite little bar and grill has been out of southwest eggrolls most three weeks now. They can't get any for some reason.
This is getting very serious.

Jesus Christ.
This country is so fricked and I pray for it everyday. But it’s just tough out there and will only get tougher

I mentioned this in another thread but if it’s being imported there are delays everywhere. Shortage in shipping containers, chassis to carrier containers, workers at port, and CDL drivers. Drayage market usually takes about 6 months to correct but already expecting container shortages through 2022.

In other words, Chinese factories are keeping production in check to keep their newbuild prices high. This negates the hope on the cargo-shipper side that the market might be flooded with excess new containers, thereby bringing freight rates down.

We produce a lot of TP in the US. Not that worried about losing supply.

frick this OPEC style garbage. Start sourcing more critical production from the US, Canada, and Mexico.

I only defecate every 3 days secondary to my extreme fasting diet.

Three Chinese companies — CIMC, DFIC and CXIC — produce around 80% of the world’s containers.
We should start producing in the U.S.

It will take a while but this will eventually help the US. Just like when OPEC got too big for their britches, we will start making the shite at home creating jobs and revenue. Then China will say "OH shite!" they are making stuff on their own, then they will try to reclaim market share by selling things at rock bottom prices.
Consumer wins in the long run. But it will suck in the short term. Think $4 gas before it bottomed at $1.60 when we got things up and running here.
