Fully agree. Go cheap on undergrad. Can't beat LSU on value if TOPS is in play. Spend on fancy grad school private name. Higher Ed doesn't care about you or the value your receive. They are all REITs now. It cares about new buildings and selling merch and corporate messaging. It's a pay-to-play scheme. So pay for fewer years with grad school.

Don't buy ads...yet. Spend the first year or two developing a content marketing plan and rolling it out on all platforms, every week. Create short shows for Tik Tok, Insta, YouTube. Write guest blogs posts with backlinks (or hire someone.oj Fiverr to write for you). Contribute on Reddit. Engage in related topics on Twitter. DM influencers on IG and offer them free stuff to mention you. Drive folks to your site by spreading meaningful content across social networks and related blogs. Tighten up SEO too. It's a long slog and eventually you'll sort out what doesn't work and leave those things behind. But at first try all platforms and create meaningful content.
Appx 3,000 fewer parts and you can sell it for more. Tesla proved they'll sell, at scale, if designed well and work well. Everyone else jumped on the bandwagon.

Our spending per student k-12 and higher ed is actually top 1/3 of states in the U.S. It's not purely an investment in education. Look at TOPS - huge spend but at the end of the day it's subsidizing TX's workforce.
To land 5-10 more IBM/DXC projects we need to over subsidize them a la Jindal/Moret. Our talent isn't shovel ready. Not bc we don't have smart people - everywhere does. It's hard to have experienced people in a vacuum. We also need one of the FAANG companies to stop talking about diversity and actually make a move that has impact - hire in S. Louisiana. So far Microsoft is the only one that has done it with their inXile Studio in Uptown. Hopefully they grow it.

100% agree. Folks love to judge based on politics/religion/other imaginary things. I judge based on consumption bc it's real action. Not just talk. No coffee = insane. No booze = sadness.
