That's not really where I'm going with this. I'm just curious if people that think it's okay to yell STTDB have a limit on what they think is okay to yell.

My argument is, it's not the greeks. They dont show up anyway, and im thinking we averaged around 80k a game last year. so if the other 79k people yell "talking out the side of ya kneck" instead of sttdb then it would drown them out. But the other fans are saying it too.

I'm not arguing though. Okay just a question from me to you. Do you personally feel as though you should be able to yell any words or combination of words during a game at TS?

Sure, i mean i wouldnt go up and verbally abuse a certain person. But if someone that is drunk yells out frick you les miles, it wont ruin my day.
I personally dont get the fascination with the song. I could care less if they banned it or not, but to put blame on one group of a stadium that holds 92k is a lil absurd to me. Im not saying that you are, just some people are trying to point blame at one group of people. Even some idiots on here think they should just ban the student section.

I agree the chants need to stop. We used to sit in that reserved section. It's not limited to the Greeks, but there are season ticket holders (some with children) that are fairly close to that area. I imagine they are complaining a lot.

I understand that, but they will hear curse words at sports venues. If that does happen just a lil explaining might have to be done. they may not understand it at the time, but they will realize those were just being dumb drunk people at some point.

Face facts.
This is SOLELY about being able to pull those seats from students and sell them to season ticket holders. TAF needs mo money bitch!
Hell, they wouldn't even allow students into the stadium (besides the players) if they could get away with it.

if young kids aren't hearing curse words at LSU games, they're hearing them elsewhere anyways so why does it matter

It was equally all the students to try and say its the reserved seats doing it most is ridiculous. To attack them over the general public is unfair and ridiculous. But like everyone has said, it's an easy target. Greeks get targeted for everything else anyway. Why not add another thing...
Oh and for the hell of it...

You think kids will hear STTD everywhere else? This is beyond phrases like "kick their arse".
The language is not appropriate for children. The reserved section isn't entirely responsible for the chants, but their position in the stadium is making them a target because they are so close to a lot of season ticket holders who are mostly older, many with children and grand children.

As long as those words won't cause a panic or safety hazard (i.e. yelling about guns/fire/bombs and such), you should be able yell anything you want in an environment such as Tiger Stadium during a football game.
The precious children aren't going to die or be scarred forever from hearing STTDB.

You're putting words in my mouth, I was asking a yes/no question. I'm speaking hypothetically again. So you believe that you should be able to yell about rape, incest, beastiality, graphic murders, etc. without consequences and in anyone's face you choose?
I'm just trying to see if people really believe that there are no limitations. STTDB is asking or demanding that a person perform oral sex on a Bengal Tiger. Just making sure that's clear.

This is ridiculous
1. The chanting needs to stop
2. The greeks are the easiest to pinpoint therefore LSU is using us as the guinea pig knowing it's a whole student body problem.
3. Taking away reserved seatings is not the answer
4. Many of the non-greek students aren't involved in extracurricular activities. Therefore, it's harder for a leadership position to funnel down the information and give them consequences.
5. I'd bet many non-greeks would keep chanting STTDB just to take away greek tickets.
6. LSU needs to force 10-15 cops to escort 50-100 students out of the stadium if seen yelling. If caught, your football tickets for the year would be suspended. I really believe this would help. I'm sure unattended consequences would follow but LSU has been tip-toeing with the issue way too long.
FWIW, when I went to the Kentucky basketball game, the greeks as a whole weren't the ones screaming STTDB. It was the general student section

This is what happened at UA when block seating was taken away, Pledges are now up in the upper deck but greeks got early enough to claim their rows anyways.
It caused way more fights between GDI's and greeks
On the other hand saban told everyone to stay for all 4 quarters so that happened.

Between music, TV and friends i'd say by 5th grade every boy and most girls have heard "Suck that dick" or something close.
