Think it's time for Subway to die out unfortunately.

That's part of the problem with an iconic promotion like 5 dollar footlong
Now with inflation you can't do it, and you can't do a commercial featuring 9 Dollar Footlongs

I had not been to subway in forever and stopped at one while traveling a few months ago.
6” club, chips, water.
$15, plus them asking for a tip.
They’ve lost their goddamn minds.

Its the bread. All that fricking bread on some skimp arse protein and then add a bunch of sauces and extra ingredients.
And being healthier than a whopper means absolutely nothing. There are people fatter than Lizzo. But she's still fat and nasty.
I always laughed when Subway was really at its peak seeing people come into the office with a footlong meatball marinara with chips and a large coke for lunch, all the while talking about picking subway for lunch to "get something healthy."

You completely invalidated everything you said when you listed potbelly as your favorite. Having gone to potbelly many many many times because it was by far the only cheap place within walking distance of me, their subs suck. Mainly because their bread sucks

I don't care if they're 1.99, subway sucks hard

You gotta be a dumbass to think that shite is healthy.
It's relative.
Compared to a salad and grilled chicken breast, it isn't.
Compared to other options in their category (fast food) such as a Quarter Pounder, fries, and a coke, it is.

Subway is its own worst enemy. Just like when Wendy’s stopped making those great burgers from the past. And raisin canes with their tiny tenders they make now. But at least the tenders taste the same.. greed can kill a business.

Subway is terrible
Worst of the sandwich joints. Same shitty thinly sliced meats

Fries I'll give you, they are terrible for you, but a quarter pounder and a subway sandwich aren't far from each other in the healthy food spectrum. People just don't seem to get that.
Coke can be had at either establishment.

Like almost all other quick service restaurants, using the app will save you a ton of money. If you order in-person you’re asking to wait and pay more. Order in the app and it’s half the price and ready when you arrive.
Anyone who isn’t using an app to order in 2024 is either insane or ancient.

Doesn't make it any better quality. I'll skip lunch if subway is my only option

The day embedding was enabled. That feature has significantly changed TD.

A quarter pounder is a great source of protein and has way less bread. Macros on it are much better for you than most Subway sandwiches. Fries and a coke are essentially equal to a bag of chips and a coke, so your whole post is basically bullshite.

I used to love Subway back in the day. But the quality of its products is just shite now.

This is the OT, 99.9% of the posters in here are either insane or ancient.
But...there seems to be an awful lot of opinions being voiced concerning this trashy fast food, seems odd for a bunch of self made millionaire grandpas with 32 inch waists who are too good to wear Hey Dudes.
Personally, I love Subway, they got all those athletes in their commercials! Makes me feel sporty when I eat there.
