Mine didn’t go, but not really because of ‘Rona. More because the kids in my kid’s circle of friends weren’t going. Although with the sharp increase in confirmed cases and hospitalizations in our county over the last couple of weeks, I was glad my kid didn’t go. Why? Because my wife provides care to her elderly mother about 3 days per week and we are trying really, really hard to NOT get it and pass it on to her.

It is. You admitted yourself the media covered for Swine Flu and no one gave a shite about it. But for some reason now we shut the earth down for a disease that kills 0.04% of the people it infects and that vast majority of those people are very high risk and elderly.

i have not advocated for government action or shutdown in this thread. i'm saying if people continue to act selfishly and ignore their personal responsibilities, we will face even more shut down

i think they're counted the same
BUT the CV-19 deaths are going to be much more unstable b/c we're trying to do it in real time
that's why i was using half the CV-19 numbers, which is likely WAY low, but still would remove any doubt. that's ahead of every year except one, and we're not done yet.
