Do you have something factual on boomers and those jobless 18 year olds besides an online survey/poll based on the word of the 2,005 adults and alleged tippers who answered the survey/poll during the last 5 days of February 2025 to back this up?
Unemployment must be up again if those unemployed 18 year olds can afford to go out to eat and tip so well.

This is stupid. Boomers are the elderly now and are overall making less and spending less than they used. It happened to the generations that got older before them and it will happen to those after. And im pretty sure they’re tipping what they’re used to and not these bs inflated tip expectations. Only silly folks put much attention into this whole tipping thing. Tip if you want. Don’t if you don’t. Never mind what others do. If you depend on tips to live then you’re as equal as a panhandler. At the end of the day, make better decisions!

My ex FIL is a well off man financially and a horrible tipper. I treated them to dinner one night and he said he would get the tip. Tipped $5 on a $120+ bill. After he walked off, I put a $20 on the table.
