Everyone else is just mocking you. But I understand that this is a teachable moment for you (TBoy, Crimson Fever, Evolved Simian and others). Medical face masks are not worn to protect you during invasive procedures but to protect the medical personnel.

So now maybe you (and the others) will no longer preach about masks, since you didnt understand at all what their design was for. Also, even during invasive proceeds masks are no longer viewed as optimum for protection against splatters. A face shield is the best option

You just made that up, or saw it on facebook. The FDA just released a study specifically focused on Covid sized droplets, and determined that only an N95 mask (98.4% confidence level) should be worn as protection against thise sized droplet.
The next closest mask was the KN95 at 53.2%. Surgical masks came in 3rd at 38.1%.
But there never has been a VAST MAJORITY of studies that claimed otherwise.

Kinda true. Some of it depends on ventilation. Think of a sports bar or casino where smoking is allowed. If you have a good exhaust system then a lot of particles are cycled upward through the ventilation and new clean air is pumped in. Some.smoking bars smell like smoke and even if you don't smoke you reek of it when you leave and some only a hint. The cloth masks are the worst and I'll admit that is the one I use. Considering upgrading after family friend died and another gal I know that is 39 has a bad case, is vaxxed, and OTC test didn't catch it. Only the stringent lab test. No shortness of breath but really high fever and aches from it.
