Yeah, this is pretty simple science. Just fill up a water bottle sprayer with some water and food coloring and spray it through a mask hanging in front of your wall.
They greatly oversold the benefits of cheap paper masks and standing 6 feet away from people. They also suddenly and completely dropped the message of frequent and vigorous hand washing with soapy water, which is probably a much better defense to infection. I'm guessing that's because you cant see whether or not a person washes their hands but wearing a strap of tissue paper across one's face presents a symbolic outward imagery to them that you think and obey the way they want you to.
And now a lot of people refuse to get the vaccine because they believe masks are 100% effective and they have grown accustomed to wearing them everywhere. They figure why inject experimental medical technology into my cells when I can just wear a mask? I'm personally agnostic when it comes to vaccines, but the Branch Covidians are not going to get their cherished urban minorities (who have very low vaccination rates) to line up and get jabbed until they tell the truth about masks and end the new welfare system they created.

N95 masks aren’t meant to be used and re-used again and again. The majority of the masks worn out there are cloth ones made by memaws and Karen’s or fishing style neck sleeves.

It's always only been about feelings.
For a certain segment of this population, they will do whatever they're told without question if it makes them "feel" safe. Whether it's actually making them safe is irrelevant to them. They don't care about the facts, they care about the feelings.
Hence, pointless mask mandates.

If you have 100 people in a room and you wear your mask you’re saving 10 of them from infection.
