Other teachers should've had easy pop quizzes for 100 points with the school issuing unexcused absences for every kid that wasn't in class. Let shite fall where it may.

now a days (at least in our district) our roll sheets are usually updated to reflect their preferred name.

The students don't worry about what the teacher says on the internet.
The teacher calls the students what they want to be called - as long as it's not profane.
The school board instructs the teachers to teach the academic curiculum and nothing else.
How about we try that for a while and see where it gets us?
