Statistics say that a 18-22 year old is 10x more likely to die from alcohol related incidents than covid.

Fake news. Just because some dumbass city council member says it doesn’t mean it’s true.

Reading is fun-da-mental. You had 3 quotes to get through and just couldn't do it, huh?

Tuscaloosa Fire Chief Randy Smith told the City Council on Tuesday that he has confirmed the students' careless behavior.

What is with this Guy Fieri wearing your sunglasses backwards thing? Doesn't seem like a logical way to hold onto them and seems like a great way to drop and scratch them. Also, whole lotta jerseys and wife beaters going on there.

Side note. For there to be layers and layers of racism and hate that sure is a diverse crowd. In A state famous for its racism no less.

That may be the best reason I've heard to take a trip to Tuscaloosa.

That was obviously my joke that at least 21 people apparently didn't get.

They don't look smart enough to be students.

This will certainly put some of the hardcore Bama democratic posters on here in a pickle. Do they turn on their own?

There’s already plenty of arguing on the Bama board whenever a thread is political

Fake

News

quote:

This story makes no sense. Despite its implausibility and utter lack of valid sourcing, the fantasy of Alabama virus gamblers has nonetheless exploded across the internet, with slack-jawed coverage turning up in CNN, the New York Post, and the Associated Press, among many others. A representative headline declares, “Tuscaloosa students held parties, bet on who got coronavirus first.” This is not the first reporting on the spread of Covid parties, which are, in fact, neither happening nor spreading.

Ask yourself, WTF does the Fire Chief have to do with this. Answer - nothing. The dude is repeating rumors that one local quack doctor is promoting. There is absolutely zero evidence to back up these rumors, even though evidence should be easy to produce if the rumors were true.

Alabama Dept of Health has made a statement that they have found no evidence of such parties and have identified no positive tests related to such parties. It is indeed fake news.

News article with statements from ADPH and UA

quote:

Alabama Department of Public Health statement: Persons reported to the Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH) local staff last month that persons stated to other persons that they attended a party where COVID 19 positive persons were present. This information was reported ADPH Center for Emergency Preparedness (CEP) and to local authorities. ADPH cannot verify that a party or parties actually occurred, that persons were present at parties who had COVID 19, or that persons were violating home quarantine. At this time, no cases of COVID 19 have been epidemiologically linked to a party or parties.
