Teacher. If I did that, it would be half of my yearly salary haha
This must be for undergrad then. My masters payments were $230.
My advice is still to pay more than the minimum each month.

Must be nice worrying about $48 or $68.

My bad. I failed to realize I was complaining about the amount of money. I was complaining that I want the higher payment to payoff sooner rather than later

Man F this thread, my student loan payment is more than my mortgage

Aren't teachers eligible for student loan forgiveness?

Start a gofundme so we can pay your loans off

I didn't know purposively was a word until just now, so I'd say, whether $48 or $68/mo, it was worth every penny.

After ten years of minimum payments, a teacher has the rest forgiven. Look into it and stop paying extra LOL

Just write a check and pay it off like an OT member would.

What is your interest rate?

It is that simple and yes I'm that lazy
Well if they make it that easy then their evil plot to collect more interest isn't implemented very well.

Didn't you know that everyone on the OT is a rich baller? We're not familiar with loans.
However, I think you're right that they're trying to get every penny from you. The system is broken.

Looked into it. The parish I work in doesn't qualify for the forgiven because our schools don't fit the category that's needed. Needs to be low income area schools but bad performance scores and you have to teach there for a minimum of 5 years or so. I've taught in good public schools and high performing schools since I started so I don't qualify.

You should have gone to Plant Operator school and married some fat red head from Denham Springs instead.

Did you apply for the Teacher Loan Forgiveness Program?
Are you not planning to apply for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program?

Did both. I don't qualify because of the schools I have worked in.
