Performance scores don't mean anything. It's whether or not your school is considered a Title I school, which many Southern public schools are. Check into again, you may be surprised. Even teachers at the best public school in Mississippi are eligible because all MS schools are considered Title I.

I knew performance scores wasn't what I was looking for. You are correct. It's the Title1 schools. I worked at a Title 1 school for 2 years and then moved to another school that isn't Title 1. I've been here for 6 years. Sucks....I do teach at a pretty good school where the biggest problem is TOO MUCH parental involvement. We don't select kids at all but an overwhelming majority of our kids come from good and well off homes.

I think there's a little drop down menu on the the federal program set that let's you see if your school(s) are eligible. I assume you probably already checked that out.

Yea...my first school is on there but I only taught there for 3 years. Needed a few more years there. My current school isn't on the list.

Incorrect. This is a loan forgiveness for any state or fed government employee. You qualify. I promise. Look again
