This thing is barely a Depression now and has 24 more hours over land. Any chance it dissipates and doesn’t even reform back into a Storm?

I’m a government contractor with the FAA . Not in private industry. I was just saying that there lots of folks into weather. When I was in HS, I did not know anyone who wanted to work for the NWS or television weather. I think the Internet has accelerated an interest in meteorology not seen before in earlier generations.

Also, social media has shined a light on those weather geeks who were obscure before. I think that is a good thing for the future scientists that will study atmospheric physics and climate change.

Too early to tell. If you hydroseed, you will have a gully washer that will wash it all away. If you don't, it'll be a nice steady drizzle for 24-48 hours that would be perfect for getting seeds to germ.

Hope that helps!

Then I didn't do it right.

Appreciate your second attempt.

Y'all have to remember that despite finding it fascinating, I have a slightly-higher-than-PJ level of meteorological understanding. I'm simply decent at finding data, interpreting it, and posting gifs/images to Imgur.

What causes it to happen again the next day?

Awe .. vets have a hard job imo. Went to ours today -- babysitting the furgrandbaby and our cat scratched her in the eye. Cost me a pretty penny but we LOVE our vet here and puppers will be ok.

Hope you get the birds taken care of! And the generator as well.

Duke ...you understand a lot about meteorology and I’m impressed by other posters here on the weatherboard. I did not realize there were so many people majoring in meteorology. Did any of you think about working in television ? Maybe, working in a large market ? Making 120k + or working for accuWeather ? Just wondering.

The OT would never allow them to take their talents elsewhere ... most of us rely on them as opposed to other "experts".

I told my husband priority 1 today when he gets home is getting the generator going and ready. We're about 10-15 miles north of Vermilion Bay. I didn't care for Barry much but we never lost electricity. The noises though did not make me a happy camper.

It's an honest living.

I assume it's a similar process but IDK, could be missing something.

Am I reading this right. The National Hurricane center is saying that they are downgrading it to depression and that tropical formation is not expected for the next 5 days. At the 2 o'clock update

You are misreading

It means to see the advisory for Cristobal for info

No other tropical activity is expected other than Cristobal
