Looks like it's beginning to make a northerly turn.

What causes this bowing segment to break apart and head SW across Arkansas on Friday?
There's not much of a feature jumping out to send it that way.
Looks like you get a little outflow boundary from storms this afternoon fire new ones over W Tennessee and the outflow is pushing SW. From there, it's running some dense air under some 4000 CAPE air and this continues the process until it runs out of instability.

bending more North-Westward this advisory

I'm saying you good. Pulling out in never an option.

Can you take the cup holder off and mount it on the wall? If so, they should still come back to it if it is close to where the bike is now. Or maybe move the bike a little at a time each time they leave to find food. You might be able to get it in a more sheltered spot before anything hits. Unless you really harass them, the will probably not abandon the nest.
We had a nest under our patio at our old house. They were making such a mess, I moved it to a tree right outside the carport. The parents found it and all was good.

Anybody got an idea regarding rainfall in the Folsom,
Covington area? I'm suppose to to have my yard hydro-seeded on Saturday. Not sure what to do at his point.

Just caught my attention to see storms moving against the grain so much vs the typical patter you see in the US.
Regardless, thanks for the explanation that I still don't understand.

Noted.

but that appears to be a mid-level impulse riding southeastward associated with the trough draped across the GOM that is influencing Cristobal northward.
Figured it had something to do with the steering of Cristobal, but I'm probably not looking at enough maps to grasp it all.

Duke ...you understand a lot about meteorology and I’m impressed by other posters here on the weatherboard. I did not realize there were so many people majoring in meteorology. Did any of you think about working in television ? Maybe, working in a large market ? Making 120k + or working for accuWeather ? Just wondering.

How much rainfall can a process like that handle 24/48 hours later?

I would hold off until the middle of next week. You don't want the seeds washing away prior to germinating. If they do, you will have to pay to do it again.

I'm in disaster recovery consulting. Having detailed knowledge of current weather and prior events always comes in handy.

This, what do you do? If you don't have a media outlet we should talk.

Then I didn't do it right.
Basically you get cold air flowing out of the storms in the line. That colder air is more dense and runs under the very unstable airmass ahead. Pushes that air upward and convection gets going. Think like a tiny cold front.
Just so happens this outflow is running the "wrong" way.

I wouldn’t put to much stock in the shifts until it gets back in the gulf.

I’ll put stock in it every 6 damn hours to keep myself entertained.
