My brother and a few other buddies were able to get there today.

I hope a proof of residency gets us past any checkpoints because I'm heading there tomorrow.

No injuries other than his pride. He’s got a lot of messages giving him shite headed his way when he gets back to the hotspot at the station.

This dude here may do well with some attention from the OT. Evidently, he live streamed last night, faked being in a bad spot, asked people for help, people actually got some folks to go try to help him, but it was all bullshite.

He's deleted all the "emergency" tweets, but they've been saved, I guess. He's catching all sorts of hell.

Woah....there was WXtwitter drama yesterday/last night.
I saw that. I have a little wx twitter list for myself for these events and it popped right up. Are you talking about this? The "storm chaser" mentioned basically faked drama for clout/$ and people called the coast guard to rescue him when he wasn't actually in dire straits, diverting valuable resources from people who actually needed help. He's being shunned by the storm chaser community now.

Always blame someone else.

Not surprised.

Watching cleanup videos after storms always makes me nervous. I think it was after a South AL tornado back in the Spring, I saw a woman wearing shorts and sandals pick up a chainsaw, walk up a fallen tree, and start to try to crank the saw. Some guy took the saw from her before she could try to kill herself.

Ha...they literally can't. This was one of the best forecast tracks we've seen in quite some time.

Yeah, MSY is in much worse shape than BTR given the power/water issues but I feel like getting people and supplies in/out has got to be a priority. As of a few hours ago they still had flights scheduled to operate tomorrow. Obviously I don't think that will happen but Wednesday evening I'm hoping some operations can resume.

Sounds like you're an experienced flyer, been following the reports on FlyerTalk and tracking on FlightAware and FlightRadar24.

That dude is still defending himself on Twitter as we speak. People are calling him out and he's lashing right back out.
