They need to retire Ida

No question that they will. It's going to be top 5 storm to ever hit Louisiana in terms of damages.

Is there any way to get from New Orleans to either Baton Rouge or Lafayette at present?

This scientific research proves why SELA gets more attention and money.

The funny thing is, I've seen similar graphics posted by people IN LOUISIANA!!

How the frick people just forget about Laura and Rita I'll never understand other than the fact that it's frickin NOLA.

The really sad part will be when John Bel starts parroting this same exact shite like Laura didn't happen.

I feel for everyone in SELA, and have friends and family impacted by this. But frick any politician or media outlet that tries to go revisionist history on this shite just to make it seem like the worst storm in over a century.

For those coming from Texas on 10, state troopers are all over the place from the state line to Jennings.

Leave it to LA to line its own pockets from residents trying to come back from evacuation.

Are they writing tickets?

$100 says they haven’t pulled a single person over and your just a loser prick.

I’ll take that bet

New Orleans experiences no loss of life & people are upset that the mayor is happy about that. Mother Nature dictated the good & bad of this one.

Latoya will be judge on how she coordinates recovery efforts

Relying on hope and luck is not a plan there, baw.

I posted this in another thread. Just want it to be seen.

If anyone knows anybody in the area, and they are able to move around. I’d like to ask a huge favor. Could someone go check on a house at the corner of Porteous and Marshal Foch? Gray house with a Red door and sandbags in front of the door. I’m really just extremely anxious about water damage, and I’d like to know. The waiting game is killing me. I will be going to grab a bunch of stuff out of the house tomorrow if there is damage. My friends and family are unable to leave their houses to check on mine at this time.

Also have a couple of cars parked behind the house that need to be checked on.

i dont like hurt, in fact i hate her, and she did frick up not calling mandatory, but Lester is right in that she needs to be judged off coordinating recovery efforts.

I thought Airline usually flooded pretty easily in these situations?

I'm wondering if maybe Hwy 90 is passable to get to Lafayette?

They did everything they could to communicate the severity of this storm without calling for a mandatory evacuation. Which isn’t even something she controls.

I evacuated and wish I didn’t because I wish I were there to survey my properties. But another part of me is happy to be where I am. There really isn’t a right or wrong answer. Gather information and make the best decision for you & your family.

Everyone hates government then want to pretend to have to lean on them to make decisions. It’s illogical

I hope this is true and I hope they are all drunk as piss right now.

Maybe Hwy 1 on the other side of the river, but I've heard that's impassible in some places too.

Just a shitshow overall. People will probably be stuck for a couple of days.
