Most people that totally blow them off have never actually been "in" one. It's easy to tough out a storm 100+ miles from ground zero.

It's at 85mph but 30 miles east of it and I'm seriously on edge. I can hear the gusts and jump at every noise in the house worrying that it's a tree coming down on me. How does anyone blow off even a Cat 1 hurricane?

We are in the same boat dude. Scaring the shite out of me

Yeah, i call bullshite on that one. Storm is bad and they got hammered, but youre friend is adding some speed to those wind gusts.

My RadarScope hasn’t updated KLIX in 30+ minutes. Is this happening to anyone else? Wondering if this is an app issue or a radar issue.

Finally slacked up here in walker. My god that was a rough 4+ hours. Idk what winds were, but I have no clue how my roof is still attached to my house.

That’s no shite. In Baton Rouge for this one. And we were on the west of the bad shite. But still pretty damn close distance wise to a legit cat 2 at the time. It wasn’t fun. At all. Damage looks to be far less than Gustav, but my memory isn’t the best as to what the winds were like for it. I just remember the aftermath. We don’t get storms this strong this far inland. My heart aches for the people who were directly in the path or to the east of this mother fricker.

The actually quote from the weather service is posted on here. The guy who was reading it posted all of the readings he was getting on Facebook. It was legit. 149 sustained with 172 max gust.

HOA be damned, I'm having any pine tree that can reach my house taken down. I had 20 taken down after Katrina, but these current ones have grown 20-30 feet since then it seems.
