Adair just said what he’s experiencing in Laplace is every bit as bad as what he experienced in Lake Charles during Laura.

Not sure if this is helpful but we put bungees around the door handles during Rita and Katrina. Seemed to help take some of the pressure off too. Good luck, man!

Word I'm getting is that the roof of the old metarie tower across from St. Francis on Metairie Road has partially blown off.

The house is raised about 4 feet off the ground. But it’s a very old house.

Mississippi River at Carrolton Gauge is starting to drop.
It was a bit above four feet two days ago, got up to eleven-ish feet and is dropping.

I’m a fricking bitch. It’s just windy and slightly rainy where I am in BR. Idk how anyone could have stayed for anything worse than this. This is terrible. Praying for everyone who has it 273928 times worse than people inBR.

New Orleans is insanely dark now. I’ve never seen it without any street lights or any lights throughout the entire city. It’s country dark out.

Probably a dumb question but do you keep your dampers open or closed in a fireplace? Garage is open as it’s a California style.
