Anyone remember the poster SuzieTiger who used to post here years ago when Hurricane Katrina hit? She was the one who stayed behind in Chalmette with all of her cats. I think she was a huge Sue Gunter fan.

No hes not
You wont die but you are going to get TS/maybe Hurricane force gusts if its a cat 3 on current path

And the roads to get back will be a mess

Is there a good chance I-49 coming out of Laffy will be a shite show by then?

There’s no way to know until we know what the storm is going to do

That will impact evacuation routes. I-10 West could be jammed up or I-49 North could be jammed up

Yeah, I know the best route would probably be more towards Shreveport/Texas but I think that's a little too far. Have to be able to get home quickly too. Don't know. Maybe should just hunker down but really don't want tornadoes spawning uprooting trees all around.

There is a pet smart pet hotel on county line in north Jackson that we used when I still had a dog. I’m in Madison though so I don’t have any rec’s for the Brandon side. I would imagine if you have your vaccinations any area vet would take them

More of a need. Bro in law is in the hospital there. Non-covid and long term, but it was our only chance to visit

I have to pick up my mom on Saturday at 4 pm at the New Orleans airport. She is flying in from Miami and will they cancel the flight or should that still be good to go?

This is probably too early to know for sure, but if somebody wanted to evacuate Baton Rouge for this thing, would heading West be better than East?

I've got some older family that can't stay through any aftermath, and they have pets, so I'm looking to line up a place for them for a few days
Georgia and Florida look like a safe bet.
