Check out some of the hotels and B&B's in Natchitoches for your family. Chateau St. Denis, Queen Anne B&B, Judge Porter B&B, Church Street Inn...

I want to head N to somewhere like Jackson but I'm not sure that's N enough and I'm not really familiar with the area.
Look up Somalia and it will be close. Go armed.

Yeah, I'm not really worried about flooding I'm worried about the wind. She has trees all around her house and the tornadoes spawning could be an issue. That plus she is stubborn as hell and will not get a house generator. I have portable ones but I'm not sure it's enough for her too. She has asthma/COPD as well so I'm not sure a window unit would be enough. She needs central air which kinda leads to another problem at a hotel especially if they lose power since most don't have generators anyway.
I fricking hate hurricane season.

Huge difference for BR though. And it’s stronger this run too.

Serious question. I'm from NWLA and never dealt with contraflow, etc. I need to go to Laffy tomorrow evening and leave Saturday evening. Is there a good chance I-49 coming out of Laffy will be a shite show by then?
I49 out of Lafayette gonna be like

I've got some older family that can't stay through any aftermath, and they have pets, so I'm looking to line up a place for them for a few days
doubt they'll come this far East, but I can meet up and pick up their pets and keep in FL as long as needed if that becomes an issue with their accommodations

Didn't Lily fizzle out when it made landfall, or am I thinking of a different storm?
