He also predicted 16’ in GI right now.
Did you listen to the interview with the guy that manages that structure? He confirmed at least the approx. height of the gate.

Just looking at the camera, it seems like the overall water level is starting to go down. Not counting the giant waves coming sporadically

Has anyone heard if anyone has made contact back with the Grand Isle police chief?

Yeah the guy he was talking to was shocked. He thought it was only 6' but confirmed that the gate height is 11-12' and it's over the top of it. So no idea how high it actually is above that 11-12' gate.
You can see car traffic outside of their office (HTV10)

Carrollton, Hollygrove, and the Lower Garden district all have pretty extensive power outages in NOLA. Uptown hanging strong.
What is it like in NOLA East?

i think i interpreted that incorrectly. that spot is 7’ above sea level and it was mounted 7’ from the ground. so ~14’ above sea level? i could be wrong again tho

I don't think they ever had electricity to begin with.
ETA: IN reality looks like about 25% out of power.

Where are you at?
Near Houma. Sitting in my truck on my boat landing watching the wind and the water. Getting ready to catch the eye wall or close.
