And they’re surprised? lol

It’s fascinating to observe the reactions to Trump’s win, especially from groups that claim to support progressive ideals but would have rallied around Kamala Harris. Despite being part of the Democratic Party, Kamala holds many centrist and even right-leaning policies similar to Trump’s, particularly in areas like criminal justice. Her support largely stems from identity politics rather than a record of progressive reforms.
Moreover, the Democratic Party’s continued move toward centrist policies has left many voters disillusioned, leading them to split votes toward third-party options like the Green Party. This division reflects a growing dissatisfaction with the party’s reluctance to support true leftist policies. It highlights a deeper rift where voters are increasingly unwilling to compromise their values for the sake of party loyalty, even if it risks splitting the vote and enabling more conservative outcomes.

In the union facilities that i work in ( which are a lot as a contractor) we get to know the fellas in these places pretty well. There's a pervasive sense of discontent with how the media depicts Unions and Union workers. Despite many of them being conservative supporters, the portrayal in the media seems consistently skewed and unfair. It's disheartening to see their views and values misrepresented, and the way the media spins this narrative is truly absurd. Wondering if anyone else here picks up on this and what thoughts may be regarding it.
