I don’t think you want to travel west on HWY90 from 310 right now, right?

Something else to consider for those in the path that are staying.. you will likely lose power and/or water today at some point. It would be smart to book a hotel now for 3-7 days (if available) in a town north and/west of your current location where they might have power.

If your power goes out for 2-3 weeks, that might be a nice option to fall back on. If you don’t need it, just cancel it.

Make several reservations staggered over the next several weeks. Just cancel the ones you don’t need. If you wait, there won’t be anything left:

That's not a glitch. It isn't raining in Slidell at the moment.

I made that post an hour and a half ago

You can see it looking better on radar as the rain moves out of the radar site

What is the traffic like through BR and on towards Lafayette and Alexandria?

Can’t speak to the getting to Lafayette part but we evaced from youngsville to Carencro last night and am currently sitting right off I-49 north and it looks to be wide open if that helps anyone.

Go North if you can. Just went Mandeville east at 5:45. Now at Vancleave exit and drizzling.
Some of worse rain ever driven in from Mandeville into Bay St Louis. Caught top loop band
Friend in Houma said nothing yet about 15 minutes ago
Utility trucks rolling in from the east

What happened to the Monday 2am landfall prediction? Wasn’t that the prediction early yesterday or late Friday? At least it’s moving quickly but geez the landfall seems to be 18 hours before predictions only 24-36 hours ago?
