Cat 5 has to be a certainty at this point.

Unfortunately still 6 more hours from landfall

Maybe SELA can dodge that same bullet.

It was an honor being in this thread with you baws.

I'm going to pour a drink and sit on the patio.

Be safe everyone.

Try Airbnb if you can’t find a hotel. Go ahead and get it for several days.

I went to bed last night and woke up to BR not being in the eye path but it’s a cat 4. I’m guessing BR still gonna be a shitshow?

frick.

I'd sincerely hoped that the lessening intensity forecasted by the models were accurate. This is bad. She still has some time to try to run to cat 5.

WAFB saying eye could go right over BR. Saying CAT 1 when reaches BR. 5-10 inches of rain. That seems conservative.

WWL said it has dropped 50 mb in 22hrs. Something like only 5 hurricanes in the entire Atlantic have done that.

BR will still get some eyewall, most likely. It's gonna be a shite show.

frick. Someone just posted it’s a cat 5 now. I thought the track shifted enough east to where the eh won’t come over BR? I should have fricking left town.

4 hours until landfall

You thinking 11:00 am at Grand Isle? That would take 5 hours as she is 75 miles away going 15 mph at 6:00 am update.
