When we left several hours ago we were ready to say goodbye to our home as we know it in St. Gabriel. Now I’m afraid we are currently in a slightly worse situation with the east shift and we are on the east side of the storm again. The home is steady here in Mandeville, but my vehicle is exposed.

In old jefferson neighborhood of Baton Rouge. Was going to stay, now I’m thinking about getting ready to head north in the next couple hours.

I guess they had to due to timing?

Duke, can they put out a quick intermediate advisory if the readings from the NE corner come back stronger?

Good point.

Jesus, I hope this isn’t considered a side thread or whatever, but I’m praying for all of you. This is awful. The Cajun Navy are perhaps the best of the best. Prayers for those fellas too

Roads look clear. I'd pack a few things and put some miles behind you before the weather rolls in.

this is still going to be a hard look in the mirror for us on if we can raise kids here. Just sick to my stomach atm.

Yeah. This is the hardest part for me to swallow right now. I never in a million years thought I’d move. And now I’m having trouble finding reasons to stay. How can I put my kids through this shite? And why didn’t I learn my lesson already?

If you look at the nhc page and there’s an update statement link in pink, that’s it.

I’m behind, rough night…had my hot water heater on one side of house bust. Thankfully drained out pan but had issues killing water to it. I skimmed the threads and appears it’s ramped up like expected correct?

Just making sure nothing insane has changed to cause me to alter my plan of staying in BR. I read a few post that caught my eye, obviously with the 1am coming that’s something to see but have y’all seen something else per comments I saw last 5 pages?

Plane troubles have low balled the estimated wind speeds somewhat.
105 was given st 10;00 based on an old recon report. The plans designated to go in at 10 had issues.

Now it’s 115 and pressure is dropping fast and the plane is still going into the strongest part of the storm. Stay tuned.
