My first corporate job was w PageNet in 95. You should have been there to witness 1.5 paging and eventually VoiceTalk. What a Motorola ride.

sure hope Entergy baws pulled in as many workers out of state as they can muster. I really wonder how well they can maintain infrastructure damage with the Covid manufacturing shortages on transformers and probably poles? No telling what else.

For Laura Entergy lost over 1400 transmission poles. This is going to be another animal because the structures taking the brunt of this storm are located in the marsh with the shittiest soils imaginable with difficult access

At least we have Weatherstar 4000 to keep us covered as we party like it's 1999.

Cantrells response during all of this shows how under qualified she is for her position.

Isn’t destrehan within the New Orleans flood risk reduction system… I’ve been under that impression this whole time. I thought it either ended in destrehan or norco

Don’t break my heart

Has Ponchatoula ever even flooded? I'm not aware of it ever flooding. I know going east towards areas like Bedico it floods but I've never heard Ponchatoula flooding tbh? Maybe I heard wrong. That's a good question though.

Not sure. There are certainly areas of Destrehan that flood very easily and will almost certainly get water during this storm.

First time her underqualication might actually have an affect on me.

Think it will show.

No doubt she takes zero blame, but hopefully it forces her out with how she handles the response.

My lot was underwater after a heavy isolated thunderstorm.

Ponchatoula = Ponchartrain

They will be one for a good 6-12 hours.

Springfield floods on high tides.
I would imagine that if you are there it’s going to get water

it’s also heavily wooded

I just left my place in Hammond and got a good last look. I’m not worried about water but I don’t think it’s going to be habitable when I get back. Too many trees and too much wind

gonna be a long couple of nights.
I’m scared for the first time in my 55 yrs, been lucky so far but it may have run out

I'll probably get jumped but looking at radar and satellite I don't see this eastward jog so many have talked about, indeed I see a true NW movement toward Houma and BR.
